Engineering for torque: how we keep small nylon tools honest
1) Geometry first
- Engagement depth: More depth spreads stress across a larger shear area. We target ≥ 2× the minor feature depth where space allows.

2) Orientation & print strategy

4) Practical torque guidance

Dimensional accuracy, fits, and tolerances
SLS offers excellent detail for small driver features, but smart allowances prevent bind-up:

Can I use these with my cordless drill?
Yes—with the clutch set low and no impact. For final snugging or stubborn removal, switch to a hand driver.
How many uses will I get?
For light-to-moderate torque, unreinforced adapters often survive several removals. Higher torque or gritty environments favor sleeves and periodic replacement.
Will a nylon adapter damage soft screw heads less than steel?
Often, yes. The slightly compliant interface can reduce galling on soft or coated heads—but it also limits torque. If the screw is locked, plan on a reinforced adapter.
